Living in San Diego it’s hard to stay away from amusement parks. Unfortunately, they are hard to afford on a military salary. Luckily, most theme parks show their appreciation to the military by offering free or reduced prices on admission.
Seaworld – We go to Seaworld every year. We try to do it around the holidays because we all love the decorations. Throughout 2013, members of the military and as many as 3 direct dependents may enter SeaWorld, Busch Gardens or Sesame Place parks with a single-day complimentary admission.
Knotts Berry Farm- Knott’s Berry Farm usually offers free active duty days on Mermorial day in the month of November. Visit their website at https://www.knotts.com/ to see when you can go visit Snoopy for free!!
Disneyland – The best deals for military at Disneyland is the 3 Day Park Hopper for $125. It allows you to visit Disneyland or California Adventures 3 different days. Each active duty or their spouse can purchase up to 6 tickets. Restrictions and blackout dates apply. Click here for details https://disneyland.disney.go.com/offers-discounts/military-tickets/
Legoland – Legoland is my kids favorite, so we have passes. But i feel it is very well worth it. We live close and have used our Legoland passes at lease 15 times in the past year. The best deal i could find on Legoland passes were at the Camp Pendleton ITT office. We got $131 children $137 adult. We didn’t have to buy one for my hubby because each of us for a free one day pass with our tickets that he uses when he is able to come. They also offer a few times during the year when they send out a “Bring a Friend” pass where each passmember gets to bring a friend for free. Click here to read my review of Legoland California.
