The Headquarters at Seaport District, the newly revitalized Old Police Headquarters, is hosting a three-week fundraising and donation program for USO San Diego to benefit active-duty military families this holiday season. My family had a great time at the tree lighting ceremony on Friday. The Giving Tree is beautifully decorated with red, white and blue ornaments. The Giving Tree Lighting Ceremony was hosted by Dan Cohen, Natasha Stenbock and Nichelle Medina, of CBS News 8 This morning. It featured performances by the MCRD Color Guard and the San Diego Children’s Choir, as well as complimentary hot chocolate and candy canes, courtesy of Starbucks. The program runs through noon on Christmas Eve. Visitors can donate unwrapped toys, gift cards or monetary donations that will benefit military families served through the USO. USO San Diego volunteers will be on hand to accept monetary donations. If you donate $100 or more you will receive a USO San Diego and The Headquarters-branded ornament.
